This is a Chrome C25 cassette release of highly abstract music made with turntables, voice and effects. The first track, “Nervous” (on side A), is a very erratic and unpredictable abstract noise track. Think bleeps and bloops without any added “space” effects (reverb, echo). The second track (on side B), named “Breakthrough”, is lower in tones and more “ambient” in style than “Nervous”. We can hear the resonance of the vocal cords vibrating in slow motion mixed with itchy rhythmic noises. There's an organic quality to the sound at play on this mini-album. However, I have to admit that I don't hear the turntables. So how Voiceover manipulates them is beyond my understanding which makes the tape a mysterious work of art for me. Intriguing!
